Classroom Session

(2 hours + 2 hours)

Swimming Fundamentals

Introduction to basic swimming strokes and techniques, including breaststroke and freestyle

Lesson Planning and Execution

Overview of lesson planning strategies

The React Right course is designed to equip individuals with essential knowledge and skills in emergency response and first aid. This comprehensive course focuses on preparing participants to effectively respond to various emergency situations both in and out of the water.

What's next?

(6-10x attachments & assessment)

After successfully completing the classroom and pool sessions, the participant will be required to fulfill ten attachments under the guidance of a mentor and undergo an assessment.

Participants will have established a firm grounding in swimming instruction and will possess the ability to create and execute effective swimming lessons across various skill levels. Moreover, participants will have the opportunity to join as a part-time coach at our affiliated swim school.

Obtained a recognized certification as a Swim Teacher

You will obtain an internationally recognized certification as a Swim Teacher from Swim Schools International (SSI). It serves as proof of your certification and allows you to demonstrate your credentials as a qualified swimming instructor.

Issue certificates to children who have completed their swimming lessons

Access to SSI Resources

As an SSI-certified Swim Teacher, you will gain access to a wealth of resources provided by SSI. These resources may include educational materials, lessons plan, teaching aids, online platforms, and support from the SSI community of instructors.

Free Sinking Toy

A set of sinking toy will be provided to the swimming instructor, the sinking toy adds an exciting element to your lessons, capturing children's attention and motivating them to participate actively. As they eagerly chase and retrieve the toy underwater, their enthusiasm for swimming grows, leading to faster skill development.

Requirements

Prerequisite Checklist

Minimum age: 18 years old or above
Proficient in at least two swimming strokes (breaststroke or freestyle or backstroke or butterfly).
Need to be able to communicate clearly and effectively with swimmers.

Upon the completion of 150 coaching hours, the course fees will be refunded

Swimming lesson assignments upon completion of Course, 10x attachments and assessments.

Swim school will assign client(s) to the coach who completed the course
Coach has flexibility to select the assignments.

The coach can accept or negotiate on the class's schedule or venue.
The coach will need to conduct the lesson at client's private housing pool or we will send the client to coach's venue (If the coach live in a condo with a pool).

The coach will be paid base on the number of lessons completed by end of the month.

The coach will receive payment at the standard coach rate for the coaching hour done, at the rate of $35 (for 30 /45 mins lesson)

We will review and revise the rate after completed the 150 training hours depending on the coach performance.

Upon completion of 150 coaching hours, the coach will be reimbursed the full course fees of $1,200.

Whats the different between SSI Swim Teacher 1, SSI Swim Teacher 2, Swim Teacher Adult and Swim Teacher Baby?

SSI Swim Teacher 1: This course is designed for individuals who want to become swim instructors for children and adults. Anyone who is interested in becoming a swimming instructor can take a swimming instructor course. However, the participants need to have prior swimming experience, the participants must be ange 18 or above and able to swim:

1x 50m breatstroke

1x 50m freestyle
